Cost calulation

Cost Estimation

I have the ability to accurately estimate the cost of a product by considering material costs, production methods, finishing processes, and purchased components. Because I understand the different options within the design process, I can take cost into account during design decisions. This allows me to develop products that are not only functional and well-designed, but also feasible to produce at a reasonable price.

Example 1 – Bicycle Basket

A complete cost calculation for a shopping bicycle basket, including material costs, production costs (such as tooling, machinery, and finishing), as well as assembly, factory costs, and taxes. Each estimated value is supported by a reliable source.

Example 2 – Bicycle carrier

A cost estimation for a metal product, which involves a different production approach and cost structure. Instead of tooling costs, this includes fixtures or jigs, and generally more extensive finishing processes. This example shows how I adapt cost calculations based on the chosen manufacturing method.
